Alice & Isabel Return for Jupiter IXX

We're pleased to announce that on May 4th the Jupiter Club will have two very special guests – Isabel Munoz Newsome (of ADA), and Alice Ballantine (of Kidnap Alice), alongside Jupiter co-founders yoB and J. Maizlish Mole.

Isabel was our guest last December and her hypnotic, melodic voice and songs defy generic description. For anyone who missed her in December, she is hard to catch and not to be missed. Alice Ballantine has the earthy, ancient voice of a folk legend, the voice of the much-loved hybrid british bluegrass band Kidnap Alice. Gobby-folk phenomenon yoB is releasing a new song every month this year as part of his #YearoftheyoB campaign. He co-hosts the Jupiter with Californian singer/songwriter J. Maizlish Mole, who's been busy touring the Western Isles and working on new Marseille Figs tracks.

As ever we'll have the fabulous Jupiter House Band – Tom Ash, Pete Fraser, Bobby Groves, Gustavo CM, Tomoya Forster and guest Drummer Nick Moon.

Late bar till 3am. The first Saturday of every month at The George Tavern. All year round.

April Brings Alex Cox

On 6 April the Jupiter will see the return of the great Alex Cox (of Wild Wolves, Vincent Vincent & the Villains, etc.), alongside J. Maizlish Mole and the Jupiter House Band. And of course DJ Giles Atkinson plays records into the small hours. Be there or be L7.

Melt the Midwinter Away

Jupiter 16 is coming up this Saturday the 2nd of February, with performances and a bunch of new songs from regular hosts J. Maizlish Mole and yoB, with the Jupiter House Band as always.

The Jupiter Band this month includes Felix Weldon, Chris Alcock, Tom Ash, and all of our most recent inductees – the double saxes of Gustavo C.M. and Tomoya Forster, and the great Bobby Groves on guitar and banjo.
