The Jupiteers in Camden, 6 December 2013

On Friday the 6th December we'll be seeing in the season and seeing out the year with the last Jupiter event of 2013.

The Jupiter Band, featuring yoB and J. Maizlish Mole, at The Monarch in Camden. The all-star Jupiter Band features Felix Weldon, Tom Ash, Chris Alcock, Gustavo CM, Tomoya Forster, Pete Fraser, Bobby Groves, yoB and Mole.

Free entry. 8pm. Two sets. See you there.


Jupiter on the Move

Well, after a marvellous two years at the George Tavern, The Jupiter Club is about to go mobile for a while.

We'll soon be moving on up to a brand new residency in a brand new venue.

In the meantime, The Jupiter Band will be playing here, there and everywhere over the next few months:
  • 29 OctoberThe Monarch, Camden – yoB will be launching the 10th #YearoftheyoB single with The Jupiter Band.
  • 6 DecemberThe Monarch, Camden – J Maizlish Mole and yoB return with The Jupiter Band.

Where to Go on September 7th

Coming up on Saturday September 7th, Jupiter XXIII will feature live music from the Jupiter's own J. Maizlish Mole and the Jupiter House Band.


Californian-born singer/songwriter J. Maizlish Mole, longtime frontman of Marseille Figs and regular Jupiter co-host, has been in the studio recording his new record with members of the Figs and the Jupiter Band. He will be arriving with fresh songs this month, singing, shouting, screaming and crooning in front of the inevitable Jupiter House BandTom Ash, Gustavo CM, Tomoya Forster and drummer Aran Feenan.

Our stalwart DJ Giles Atkinson spins his amazing rare soul, funk & pop records till the small hours. As ever, Mole DJs the Jupiter's late shift, playing punk, pop and rock & roll records till the lights come up.

£4 entry. 8pm-3am.

The Jupiter. Live music. House band. Guest singers. Late bar.

Alice in August

On Saturday August 3rd, The Jupiter will feature a guest appearance from the amazing Alice Ballantine of Kidnap Alice, alongside J. Maizlish Mole and the Jupiter House Band.


Alice Ballantine is the solid, soulful voice of the much-loved English folk / bluegrass hybrid band Kidnap Alice. They've been off touring the festivals of Britain this summer. Alice will be bringing her songs and some of her bandmates to try on the Jupiter stink once again before heading back out on the road. Californian singer/songwriter and regular Jupiter co-host J. Maizlish Mole has been writing and recording too, and will be bringing new songs with him again this month.

They will be performing with the inevitable Jupiter House Band – Tom Ash, Bobby Groves, Gustavo CM, Tomoya Forster, Chris Alcock, J. Maizlish Mole and drummer Aran Feenan. The band regularly includes members of Man Like MeDrop VelvetMarseille FigsDown I GoInternet ForeverHer Parents and the JJ Horns.

Late bar till 3am. The first Saturday of every month at The George Tavern. All year round.

Internet Forever for Jupiter XXI

We're pleased to announce that on Saturday July 6th, The Jupiter will feature a very special guest appearance from Internet Forever, alongside J. Maizlish Mole and the Jupiter House Band.


Indie-pop darlings Internet Forever (Laura Kirsop & Chris Alcock) have just returned from a UK tour in support of their eponymous debut album, a barrage of infectious, intelligent, deceptively simple bursts of pure pop genius. Californian singer/songwriter and regular Jupiter co-host J. Maizlish Mole will be bringing new songs with him this month too.

They will be performing with the inevitable Jupiter House Band – Tom Ash, Bobby Groves, Gustavo CM, Tomoya Forster, Chris Alcock, J. Maizlish Mole and guest drummer Aran Feenan.
